“Anytime Andy and Sam get a really challenging and emotional scene, if the writing is in good shape at the time of the reading, I usually get a sense they will enjoy those scenes. Missy and I have a unique chemistry that really informs and enlivens our scenes and we both really enjoy doing them. And there is a familiarity with each other as people and as actors that keeps us very connected. It’s very powerful.”

"We have two very different approaches to acting. Our process is very different. He’s always present. He takes it very serious. He’s very thoughtful. He is constantly looking at previous scripts and wanting to know what is happening in the future so he gets it right. It’s just so interesting because I think there is just something there every time we get to work together. It just works. I’m always surprised when I see the show because there are things that I don’t notice when we’re filming that he has been doing in the background. He thinks about all of these things. He’s really intelligent and very thoughtful about all these moments. It doesn’t matter how small and yet, at the same time, sometimes we film scenes and we are both surprised at the direction that it took"
