I wasn't surprised...I feel like Sir Malcolm is very calculative, and while he is fascinated by Victor's intellegence, he doesn't have any attachments, just acts in his own best interest.
 Plus there is nothing about Ethan that stands out so far. He may have a rich interior world, but it doesn't show in any way.__________________

I think Ethan will prove himself worthy to Malcolm when he does something heroic that not even he himself expects or knew he could do. |
