When I heard the news. I like everyone was shocked to hear about it. But I am glad that they are having their first child together and I wish them both luck during the pregnancy.

It's hard to know, how far along she is. Because that top could be just a top. But most celebrities wait until at least three months to speak out. In case something happens. So I would think she's about three or so months. Which takes us back to around the time of all the publicity, and the engagement!

I really hope his isnt ....well you know.... I am happy for them though, especially for Katie... And if he is really sterile as it has been claimed then oh boy...

However, I do think they will both be really good parents to this baby...and yes, there was a part of me that always hoped this relationship wouldn't work and Katie and Josh would find their way back to each other...just wishful thinking I guess. Actually they been pretty lowkey as Tom was shooting MI III. We only got a few shots here and there. So they might go back to being lowkey. Especially until the movie is finished. But the tabs won't let go, just like they reported every wedding story under the sun. Whether true or not.

It's going to be crazy. But then only if they let it. Which they did at the beginning of the relationship!

I wish them joy, I sincerely do. I wish that child happiness, from the bottom of my heart.

But I just can't muster actual belief. I don't know either one of them personally. But I do know someone who's worked on the same movie set as Mr. Cruise. This was years ago, mind you, back when he was married with Nicole Kidman. Still, it was a well-known thing, on that set, that Mr. Cruise had a "special (male) friend" nobody talked about directly.

Point is, unless he's pulled an Anne Heche, the man is gay. As far as I know, anyway. And it's his private business. And I have nothing against it. I just wish, for all of my gay friends and for his own sakes, that he'd stop pretending.

Gay men have gotten women pregnant before. And there's always in vitro.

But that's neither here nor there.

I wish them joy. I really do.

Even if she looks miserable in that picture. Man, it looks like she's about to explode in tears and not in a good way.

Not even going to touch the other rumours cause unless some male friend of yours have slept with Tom and have pictures and video to prove anything then yeah, not buying it. Just because it's been repeated enough doesnt make it true.

And it takes two to tango, katie will not be marrying and having a child with a man she didn't love or let alone had any intimacy with. As for that picture, she's in her first trimester. She didnt need a grin plastered on her face 24/7, their joined hands said as much. Celebs or not, they have moods like everyone else but if you need a happy/smiling pic from the same day....

I agree. And the fact remains, regardless of the circumstances. Katie is pregnant. That mean's she's not going to be healthy 24 hours a day over the next how many months, until the baby is born. She's going to feel sick, pale. She's not going to feel the greatest. So to expect her to be happy and smiling in every photograph is a little unrealistic.

We don't know how she was feeling, or if it was just one of those days where she would rather feel a lot better. Or if it was just hot that day, and the sun got in the way.

The photos are candids too, so it's not like they were walking a red carpet and expected to smile all the time. I really liked her outfit on the MI3 set too, but I would have never guessed that she was pregnant, only because I thought the top was just supposed to be flowy.

I agree with LuvDJ. I don't put a lot of stock in anything anyone says unless it is said on the record or directly by someone who counts. Not even someone who worked on the set with a certain celebrity. Not that I think that person is lying but its classic high school. Just because you are there walking the halls everyday, doesn't mean everything you hear from your fellow classmates about other fellow classmates is true. In fact, most of the time these "facts" or "rumors" are usually completely false, greatly exaggerated or completely taken out of context. Its the same in the workplace and that includes movie sets. And as far as Tom's sterility is concerned, unless he or one of his reps have said that themselves, it has as about as much credibility as the Richard Gere/Gerbal story. Someone said a long time ago that Tom and Mimi Rogers split had something to do with Tom not being able to procreate, but again, that is just another one of those rumors that I don't remember was ever confirmed. Just because its a long lasting rumor, does not make it true. In fact, I did some research of my own and it appears that sleazy magazines and porn stars make up the crowd swrirling around gay and sterile rumors, both which were refuted by Tom, Nicole and even Mimi Rogers. But think about it. People that run these magazines and want attention from celebrities and the world generally work up something that would hit the actor or actress where it hurts the most. So, you take a handsome, charming, successful, sexy actor like Tom Cruise and you go after his sex appeal with women and his manlihood with sterility. And thats classic sleazeball moves.

I am also completely taken aback by some who completely detest TomKat and feel like the world has ended that Katie is pregnant. First of all, we don't know Tom or Katie as much as we would like to or think we do. As much as some of us are invested in Katie's life, we really have no right to wish it were different if she is happy. I mean, if we adore her so much, then isn't that what we want for her, even if we don't always agree? If they ever broke up, some of us might be completely ecstatic, but Katie's heart could be broken in a million pieces. Who wants that? Anyway, personally, I don't believe Tom is gay or sterile at this point and I will continue to not believe that unless and until Tom or his reps say anything to the contrary. I also don't agree with Scientology and I think many of their beliefs are just plain nuts. But I do see that Tom and Katie are both happy and as a fan of hers, that is what I want for her.
