I will literally support the most inappropriate power differential relationship (Jeff/Layla) if it means she finally leaves the show.

i don't think christina is that bad. but its almost like she's trying to act TOO natural and its coming off fake sounding? i don't know if that even makes sense...

i feel like raynas barely been in episodes lately. i think we could afford to lose: -jeff -layla -jade -will (as much as i like him at times his character is frustrating) -maddie (minus the occasional needed family scene) -luke -teddy -scarletts doctor boyfriend -scarlett and/or gunnar unless they stop being annoying. and the brunette chick who isn't bad but i cant remember much of her. The only people I would take off that list is Will. And potentially Teddy just because Eric Close is actually a good actor and lord knows Nashville doesn't seem to have much of those going around as of recent.
Otherwise everyone else is basically on my FF list anyway. This show refuses to clear the clutter __________________

Honestly for me just taking out Layla of the show would make it 100% better.

Objectively, I wouldn't get rid of Scarlett and Gunnar even though personally I wouldn't miss them if they never appeared in another scene with no explanation as to why they were gone. They certainly have a devoted fanbase and their music sells well, and they're original characters. But they absolutely need to be gutted and completely re-done, both separately and together, and whatever the BTS issues are need to be ignored and the actors need to behave professionally or get fired, because it's gotten completely ridiculous. This is so far beyond the usual "let's drag out this couple" at this point.
I'd keep the Stella sisters, of course, but I agree Maddie needs to be toned back a little (or a lot, lol). And I could go the rest of the show without her having any kind of love interest. Layla, Luke, Jade, and probably Jeff as he's been robbed of his original purpose, definitely need to go. __________________

I would keep Will, and a scaled back Maddie, but everyone else can go. I wouldn't mind Luke if they brought back Sadie. I kind of liked them together.

i cant stand maddie but i get that she's an important character. toning her down would make me so much happier.
i think will can be interesting at times so he can stay too. but they need to move his gay storyline further. it seems like they are, i just don't want them to backtrack. gunnar/scarlett i do like, just not as much lately. at least not scarlett. but the others can go still. i like teddy but he never has anything to do. |

Going back to discussing the episode, I really loved the CA song (first song I bought in a while), but more than that I thought it was perfect over the R/D storyline considering it was all about being there for your love throughout the years.

I really liked the song too. Pretty much the only part of CA's appearance that I've enjoyed so far. And it did fit really well with the DR stuff
Still annoyed that they picked the worst possible moment to have DR prop SG. This should have been a much bigger episode for them but instead Deacon almost getting a liver was used to get Scarlett to keep singing with Gunnar. And sorry not buying them trying to get back on the DR/SG parallels train two seasons later. It barely worked in S1 __________________
