Love Beckett's interview outfit, no nonsense and still feminine

I can see why Castle is so worried. It may be mainly about Paris but he's a dad of course he's going to be really worried.

It's interesting how Espo gets passive aggressive with Castle when he thinks something is up with Beckett, he was off with him in the last episode too (and in the future in season 7 he's the same )

I like how the case is sort of reflective to Beckett's situation ("maybe she needed a change").

This case is intriguing

Love this scene between Beckett and Gates and Gates giving her highest recommendation and being so supportive. They've come so far from the beginning of season 4.

Beckett going to Lanie for advice, I love their friendship it's so realistic. Kate makes a good point, if Castle isn't being clear about what he wants then what should she do?

Beckett's season 5 hair has been magnificent

This conversation with Rick and Martha is great. She has an excellent point, this is who Beckett is and Castle knows that, it's more that he doesn't want to commit because he doesn't want to get hurt

I've said it before and I've said it again, I love Kate and Jim scenes and we needed more Jim Beckett in this show. I think Beckett thinks that Castle only wanted "the thrill of the chase" and now he's got her he's bored and especially if he's not being forward because he's scared too. Man, I really wish we'd see them talk this out properly but we never did.

Ahh the swings scene It did seem like he was breaking up with her I'd love to have known how long Castle had the ring, did he just go out and buy it after talking to Martha or did he already have it? We'll never know

I agree about Jim. He was so underused

Good catch with Espo. I think he's older than Beckett - and even if she is his superior officer (at least I think so), he might think of her as a little sister that needs protection. You know what I mean?

Yeah, the fact when he bought the ring will forever remain a mystery. I'd like to think he had it for a while, but I could see him having just bought it.

I will always agree with your Jim comment. He was severely underused and so many scenes he would've fit in perfectly (Veritas I mean hello his daughter took down his wife's murderer or the season 7 two parter for example).

I think Espo gets like that because he views Kate as his younger sister and doesn't want to see her hurt. Makes him look bad but at the same time I think we all kind of get it .

I agree about Rick and Martha she was so right with him. But after 5 years I don't think she would've ever said no.

True! And while I wish I'd discovered Castle sooner, watching for the first time and knowing that they get married in later seasons made the angst easier to get through

I don’t think so either Candace. Especially since it was so close to her vocalizing her love for him. I know it was said he didn’t but I think he did it because of the job offer and as a way to prove that he backs her regardless.
