Okay, I watched and here are my thoughts

Of course Richard Castle’s first appearance is him signing boobs

Aww young Beckett

“Don’t you guys read?”

Martha’s “grey-dar”!

This interrogation Andrew Marlowe says this scene is Beckett thinks she’s interrogating him and Castle’s on his first date. It shows!

From the library of Katherine Beckett, I love that she labels her books

Uh oh Castles pushing her buttons and then pushed too far. So much subtle emotion from Stana in that scene.

Of course he didn’t stay in the car.

I love the look on Becketts face when Castle gives her the signed book and a kiss on the cheek. It’s half flustered and half wondering why he’s not being a jerk.

Of course she finds him. “My safe word is apples”

They’re building theory and they’re not even together.

Her grabbing his nose makes me smile every single time. She doesn’t miss a beat!

Her cuffing him in the car, very sneaky Beckett.

“Tell me you saw that!” He so wants to be an action hero!

THIS SCENE!! “So I can be another one of your conquests?” “Or I could be one of yours” Possibly my fave scene ever. I just melt every time I watch it I must admit I think I prefer Stop and Stare to In My Veins..

The looks on his face after she says “you have no idea” and he watches her walk away

Of course he has to do “research”

I agree - the scene with being each other's conquest is just - She obviously likes, likes him, but doesn't wanna have her heart broken, I guess, and he is really intrigued.

I don't prefer one song over the other, they're both fitting. I get CASKETT FEELS when I hear both of them

And yes, it's a scene that just doesn't get old.

Baby Beckett - or really any character is amazing every time

^ I think because I liked Stop and Stare before I even saw Castle is why. I hear it on the radio sometimes and it always puts a smile on my face!

My Comments:

-They were all such babies! I can't get over how young they are or that this first aired ten years ago

-You can see how much has changed in ten years (clothing wise, technology wise etc)

-Their first meeting at the library

-Martha ratting Rick out to Kate priceless

-"My safe word is Apples"

-"It would've been great together" "You have no idea"

-Castle giving Beckett the book

-I can't get over how serious Beckett used to be and how Rick's ways were (signing of the chests)

-Rick sneaking glances at Beckett - yep he wanted her so bad back then

-The way Castle stares as Beckett walks away is everything- he was setting his goal right there of getting the girl

Am I the only one who now gets the feels when watching this? I never used to but now, knowing that Castle ended, what becomes of them all etc it feels like this is the beginning for the series (does that make sense). Like it really gets to you more now than it did before.

^I so meant the beginning of the end . But I’m glad I’m not alone, like this could’ve very well been the end of a series just how it was done- one chapter closing and another opening.

I agree with you both - it sets up the series perfectly, but also could be seen as an old chapter being done and a new one beginning
