Naomi Hyland aka Carla Reddington was married to Red before he became a criminal. Naomi and Red have a daughter, Jennifer. After he fled, following gruesome interrogation by the authorities, she and her daughter were forced to move to Philadelphia after being forced to give up everything and fend for themselves. Many years later, she married Frank Hyland. She came back in Red's life after she was kidnapped by Berlin as part of his vendetta against Reddington. Red made a deal with Berlin and Berlin sets her free. Red arranges new passports and identities for Naomi and Frank so they can start a new life together. We never hear from Naomi again but in season 5, after almost 30 years, Red meets his daughter Jennifer, who tells him that Naomi got killed.

Me neither! When I opened the thread I was so thankful that she was mentioned again on the show, that the mystery around her would be solved in the end.

I hope it will be solved. I really want to know who killed her.

I think so too. I don't think her death random. It kind of ties in with my thought that someone's pulling the strings and all this will tie together.

No I don't think her death was random either cause that would be too coincidental. Her connection to Red caused her to die.

And there are no coincidence, right? We have learned that with TBL so far... I'm still fascinated that they brought her back.

Same here... And I never expected for Jennifer to show up at some point. It's pretty awesome that they both did, that they actually have a bigger part than just being mentioned or just being around for four episodes.

Do you think Liz and Jennifer are wondering what Naomi knew? Has Liz thought about Red saving his wife in S2? Has she realized Naomi has to have known the truth.
