I'm really not a fan of the first couple of episodes of season 5 because they all seem so fake to me after all that happened before...

Yes, and all that come after although there are scenes that I think more honest...

There really are. Because they are shadowed by what happened to Tom and there are tiny ones were she is honest, tells him right away she'll find out the truth, questions him. That's those I like better.

Oh yes, the way we see him care for her, him again being willing to give his life for her... I can't believe she would put that secret of his above all of his actions.

Especially since SHE herself killed her father. The only thing he did was take his identity which doesn't mean he would be the person Raymond Reddington was... Nobody knows him anymore actually.

I meant the real Raymond Reddington because although our Red took his identity I bet he very well remained himself in a lot of ways. RR would be so different from the man we were introduced to as RR... Because the one we know is our Red.

Totally agree. I think we see a lot of his true character. After 4 years the real Red would be unknown.

I'd love to hear someone who knew the real Raymond talk about him

There is no real Red... We call him Raymond Reddington

I really want to know who RR was as well. Just so we can get an image of him and be able to compare our Red to him. It would make a big difference, I'm sure.

I think he had too. And he waited so long to return, 4 years. Plus he came back as a criminal. Anyone who knew RR would already be thinking he had changed.

Soooo what are your thoughts on Red/Liz? I am too tired to have a thought so I need to re-watch these scenes tomorrow to form an opinion.

She was so fake especially that last scene. I think in her mind she was insulting Red talking about how great and handsome her dad was. And it was her way of tricking him.

I felt so bad for Red. She took his hand and he closed his eyes like a man starved of human warmth.
