He doesn't have the context Liz does. But maybe he's gotten to know Red enough that he at least sees the good in him.

I don't think that Ressler knows that she is capable off..
I think that Ressler still sees Red as a criminal but i think that he knows that Red has his good sides. __________________

I would love some new Red/Ressler stuff as well
 I just want for Ressler to somehow acknowledge that he understands why he does some things that he does... Can you imagine Ressler and Red agreeing at some point?What about them working on getting the old Liz back? __________________

I think they really could agree on a lot of stuff... Just though Ressler's understanding of some values are a bit more limited
