Maybe I don't want to catch up I liked Elena in season 1!


On a Jordana note - I watched FF6 last night. It premiered on HBO. I hate that she wasn't in it all that much.

To clarify, I loved early Elena. I have just been done with her since this revenge/Nicolas storyline.

^That's pretty much the way I feel too. I was never her hugest fan, but thought she was fine in the first 2 season...but this season...her actions make no sense. She didn't even question what Cliff told her, just took it for the truth. This is Cliff Barnes and he's trying to get back at the Ewings...with his money/power and connections...he'd be able to fake those documents...why not ask questions and check it out? Instead of standing on her own two feet, she's just blindly being led around...that's not the Elena we know.

Yes, I never understood why she took Cliff's word for it. The word of someone who's life mission is to take down the Ewing's.

I hope that isn't true! She is one of the reasons I started watching the show. Plus, I am still hoping for a JRE reunion.

I was bummed about that too. But I did enjoy the scenes she was in.

Exactly! Especially after they just sent him to jail...clearly if at any time this would be the time he might have a motive and grudge. I really thought she was smarter then that.

She was smarter than that. Season 1 Elena would never have fallen for that

Exactly. Season one Elena, would have marched right over to Bobby and the rest of the Ewings to figure this out...not go on some stupid revenge plot.

She would have confronted them with the evidence. Bobby would have helped her research it to see if it was real and then if it was, he would have tried his best to make amends for what JR had done. But I guess that wouldn't have been juicy enough for the writers.

I completely agree with that. Bobby is a good guy, all Elena had to do was go to him with this. Christopher would have had his back as well. She might have gotten some static from John Ross...but he would have come around eventually.

I just find it hard to believe she would turn on the Ewings so quickly. Apparently she was practically raised with them...and she doesn't trust them even a little bit?

Yeah. Silliness. Hopefully they bring her around. We got hints of that in the finale, that she was ready to let go of the vendetta.

I'm curious about the whole pregnancy thing. What is the point of that?

I really worry about Elena's storyline for next season. I think she could be pregnant and this will no doubt blow up big time.

I've never disliked Elena but this season 3 Elena is just not who she is. She's someone I don't know much of but I know she's being sucked into whatever crazy thing Barns comes up with. Elena is stupid right now and shouldn't trust her so called old friend.

The pregnancy really has no point, unless he's getting her pregnant to marry her so she can't testify against him if it ever comes to that point. I think he is getting nervous that she doesn't want to go through with the revenge plot anymore.
