To me it was just like everybody else was inside laughing and smiling and it was bright and cheery, then Wyatt and Callie were outside where it was dark and I don't know it was sort of like they were alone? Separated from the others? I don't know it's hard for me to explain.

It made sense to me personally that Callie was sitting outside by herself, with how sad she was about the whole adoption thing. I thought it was nice that Wyatt joined her out there so that she wasn't all alone.
