I think it is more like she doesnt know Mer has issues with family. And neve was awesome as Lizzie.

Mer hasn't ever seemed to have an issue with Amelia, though. I wonder if it's because she can sense Amelia is more like her than the other sisters. Even though Meredith is married now and has kids, she still carries the struggles of her past with her, and Amelia has to be going through a lot of the thoughts Meredith went through when she married Derek with James now too. Really, Meredith is the perfect person for Amelia to lean on in this situation.

Yeah Mer is the one person who can really give her understanding through this.

And also, from what we've seen w/ Amelia on Grey's, she seems tp be the only sister that doesn't push herself into M/D's business whereas Nancy and Lizzie did (though i like Lizzie) so that probably makes Mer more comfortable with her. We don't know about Kathleen yet.

Yes. The Amelia character is not overbearing/nosy

darkxtwisty 05-06-2014 04:55 PM

Amelia could be nosy at times on Private Practice. Sam really put her in her place about it, though. She's grown since she was first introduced on PP. She definitely has an opinion and isn't afraid to be vocal about it. I think she's not as nosy with MD, though, because she idolizes Derek and from the outside view, it looks like Derek and Meredith have the perfect relationship. I think she'll find out soon they have their issues too, though. Maybe talking to Meredith will scare her even more about getting married/having kids, once she finds out about how MerDer struggle with balance.

And she doesnt filter.

darkxtwisty 05-06-2014 05:29 PM

I can't wait to see her tell Meredith her unfiltered opinion. She's like Cristina in that way too.

runawaaay 05-06-2014 06:34 PM

Yeah Amelia must have a unfiltered moment

darkxtwisty 05-06-2014 06:41 PM

She wouldn't be Amelia if she didn't.

She had a little bit of one with Derek when he called her "Amy" when they were presenting. I liked that.

i really enjoyed her, she's grown so much but she can snap back to badass amelia very fast :D

She is unpredictable.

That's good to know about her. I haven't followed her story closely but maybe she could get scared in the beginning but realize that if they, with all their issues and history and everything are doing it, she totally can too. Take the example of them and make her work to her new family.

I don't know. To be honest, I have a feeling they're going to pull yet another One Tree Hill. I think she'll end up leaving James and eventually get together with Owen to justify her staying as a regular on Grey's.

How relevant is this guy anyway? I mean, was he a big part of the story or just Amy's boyfriend? Is he a doctor too or?
