Hope so. Everywhere I've seen on the Internet wants her to stay, which is rare, even some of the harshest critic sites want her to stay. I was surprised, because when I looked up Private Practice comments after I finished the series, there were a number of hateful comments toward Amelia. But now I'm seeing mostly love for her. There's still the occasional hater, but what character doesn't have a hater or two?

I'm just curious to see what they'll do with Amelia's character this week. Hope we see way more than last time. We should 'cause she'll be at the hospital.

here's a thought...if Amelia stays, maybe she and Mer will start their own study or clinical trial together. That'd be neat to see. That way Meredith isn't necessarily working directly with Derek, and anything that goes wrong won't affect their marriage. Though I can still see Derek giving his two cents on Amelia's and Meredith's research/clinical trial.

I don't think Amelia is whiny. She's obviously very stressed out right now, and she's always been hesitant about having kids, especially after what happened with her first pregnancy. I can't blame her for being hesitant. Plus, she's had an uphill climb as a character. She's come a long way.

The people who complain about characters being whiny are generally whiny people.

Some people always find about something to hate.. which is sad for them, I'd rather talk about characters I adore and love so much.. even if I rant sometimes too.

Anyways.. I think they will release more promo pics after the episodes air - they can't give away much about Meredith what she's doing etc.. in fact no other original is in them.. Ellen shot I think every day so hope there's LOTS of our Mer.
