They can't do it with dealing off screen because the audience would be confused and the movie would make no sense. It has to be dealt with on screen and Thor has to find out on screen too and finding out his brother is still alive.

That's what I think, as well. It would be not only confusing, but also underwhelming if it happened off screen. So Sir Anthony should stick around for a little longer.

I do wonder if Thor will be given some report/hint that things are a bit off in Asgard, in The Avengers 2.

I have my fingers (and toes) crossed that both Tom and Chris will be able to attend the premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and we'll have a mini Thor/Avengers reunion.

I can see Tom definitely attend the premiere of The Avengers 2 movie too He wasn't in Iron Man 3 and he attended that one too

Tom will be in Toronto when TWS premieres, which is not a long flight away. Question is though is if his schedule will allow him to go.
