We opened in July of 2012 after Avengers came out. We won our first time on the poll. I think we got over 10% of the vote when it was all said and done.

Oh okay. That was pretty fast.

I remember that we had to fight very hard for the Kat board, there were a change in rules. Because I remember we won the poll three months or so in a row but there was a specific number of votes we needed and didn't get but then finally we got it in Dec 2011 and after that the rules were changed like they are now.

Our campaign was 2 whole months so I really feel for the ones that have been going on for years.

Tom's campaign went on for three years, but I think we only put him on the polls about 5 times until he got the board.

The Avengers board always does really well in the post counts, even if the number of posters isn't big and part of the people just come for a handful of threads they are interested in. But the people we do have are very dedicated, and we've got Mee who is the unofficial third mod and is always there to save the day.

I'm still so surprised Tom got the board. I thought that if he hadn't got it months after The Avengers came out, his chances weren't that strong in the long run. But it looks like the love only grew.

And the rule about needing 100 votes to get a board was THE WORST. Yep, it had to be said in capslock. The fact that not everyone who votes for a board will eventually post in it is a given, that doesn't mean it won't be successful.

We can make this board successful Which it already is though Our weekly post count will be insane.

And I forgot to say - I'm fine whatever you guys decide about keeping track of the post count! I'll keep the OP updated. I'm not 100% sure to be around every Saturday at 7pm, so if you Kathrin can take note of the numbers, thanks in advance!

Weekly post counts are fun, and if you're having a slow period they're really good as a motivation and to make sure you're on track with meeting the minimum requirement and everything.
