I don't mind the horror. So I take this will possibly have an R rating?

I think it's unavoidable - the violence, and the way people stop reacting to it/get either used to or consumed by it because it allows them to get to a state where they can express all their darkest/most hidden inclinations, it's the key to the whole story.

BTW, around the end of the book there is also

The book starts slow, but there are a lot of scenes that have the potential to look impressive on screen, even if you're always indoor (not including the scenes on the roofs of the building).

Oh, and even though the story is told from three male POVs in the book, in the end the women proves to be the true survivors, so I wonder how big Charlotte and Alice's role will be in the film, if they'll be expanded.

Very young adult, but pretty good. I'm about 30 pages in.

Robert's sister Alice is older than him, and Charlotte is 35 if I remember correctly, but I should check the book again because I don't recall if there were physical descriptions of the two women.

Good! Are you going to see the movie, too?

I hope they cast some great actresses for Tom. So far I'm very fond of the ladies he's worked with.

Yes! I love Kate Winslet, so I will be seeing the movie as soon as I get done reading the book.

Same here. He's been really lucky with his co-stars. I guess they're going with a fully British cast, so that limits the options for a possible fancasting, lol.

I didn't like the trailer I saw that much, but I'm curious about the story.

I feel secure with English actors

Yeah, I wasn't sold the trailer as well. That is why I bought the book to see for myself and so far I'm enjoying it

I thought of Carey Mulligan for the role of Charlotte, but I can't think of anyone for the role of his older sister. Hmm.

How many books is the series made of? Three?

Carey Mulligan would be great. She is on my leading ladies wishlist for Tom.

3 books, yes.

Thanks!

I like that. I'm not familiar with her, but I looked her up and she looks stunning. I haven't seen anything she is in though
