Awesome episode!

France
- I loved everything about Catcisse conspiring together to "re-convert" Charles to Catholicism in this episode. They are an amazing team. It is weird that I think it's hot that she wants him to seduce Nicole?
- Don't know what to think about Nicole yet... is there more to her than just being selfish and ambitious?
- Poor Claude is still hurting over Leith, and she's worried about her brother.
- It was so sweet that Luc asked Charles for help getting to know Claude. And then he orchestrates that adorable starlit picnic. I keep on saying this, but this man is too good to be true! He wants to be a constant in her life, just like the stars.
- Aww Francis is the one who taught Charles archery. (Lots of bows and arrows the past couple episodes. )
- Luc's advice to Charles was so wise and thoughtful. And it actually seemed to work for a little while.... What's most important is that is was completely selfless. He said it to help Charles and Claude.
- Charles just wants to be well. Poor young man.

Scotland
- Darnley insulting Francis in front of the Medicis. "Francis was more of a man than you will ever be!" (Obviously, I adored all of the Francis mentions in this episode. )
- I'm definitely feeling the chemistry between Mary and Bothwell. Of course they would end up stranded and wet. I loved the moment they shared when he untied her corset. But... Francis did it first, and he did it BETTER.
- Bothwell is the Loyal Watchman. What a shocker! It's sweet that he promised Mary's mother that he would watch over her. I don't like that he lied to her in order to get her alone, though.... but he needed to warn her against marrying Darnley.
- Rizzo and the prophecy... from BASH! I wish he could have delivered the message himself, but it was wonderful to hear Mary say his name. Poor Mary. She must choose between love and an heir. So heartwrenching. Of course Mary is going to believe it - because it's from Bash and because of what happened to Francis.
- Poor Keira and poor Darnley! Darnley had let her go, but Mary didn't trust him...and that horrible accident happened. He was going to give her those earrings and show her what their union could be... Now he blames Mary for the death the woman he loved. God, what a mess. How can she marry a man who hates her?

England
- England was a little boring compared to everything else, but Captain Hawkins and drunk Elizabeth were pretty amusing. Hawkins was easy on the eyes and it was fun to see how he inspired Elizabeth to make England greater. The "standing argument" about whether a tomato is a fruit or a vegetable. Turkeys are large, angry chickens who cannot be trusted.

MATHERINE AND THAT ENDING!!!!! THE HUG. Pure perfection. Catherine coming to Mary just when she needed her the most.

A Hot Mess

Not only was it Matherine.. it was full on with Mary running to her like a child and Catherine opening her arms and holding her. It was glorious. In truth, Catherine has been there for her far more than her own mother.
