I'm not torn at all. Megan is the only Anne. Plus I have heard from some people who decided to watch that it was not very good if you are a fan of her version at all. Seems mostly only people who never saw hers or never read the books cared for this one as it doesn't ring true to the books at all. Perhaps you might like it if you are able to distance yourself completely from any ideas you already have about Anne and look at it as entirely different thing.
Let's explain like this. It's as different from it's core material as the new Charmed is from it's predecessor. Or the new Sabrina from the old one. It may be the same story at it's core. (and it does have all the most iconic moments for the most part) but it is entirely different tonally and Anne is like a different person. __________________

That explanation makes perfect sense.
 I absolutely agree that Megan is the only Anne. I've just seen some gifs of Anne with an E that made me think that some aspects of it might be cute. I don't know if I would capable of separating it completely from what I already know/love about AOGG. I know I was not successful in doing so in the case of Charmed or Sabrina.  Maybe the best plan would be to just rewatch AOGG?  I haven't had a chance to watch October Faction yet, but it's next on my list.  __________________
