Yes, I hope Lola tries to look into Aylee's death. I worry that they will just forget about her.

Exactly. She would have died just to be a plot device for angst between Francis and Mary.

Well tbh I feel like no matter what happened after her death, she was already just a plot device. They said 1x08 would make us cry with the death of one of the central characters, but Aylee's death made me feel literally nothing, as I never got to get attached to her because they developed her so poorly.

I agree with that. I felt a bit sad, but I didn't really cry or anything because I didn't feel attached to her character at all. Sadly, we never really got to know her that well.

Same. She had the least SL from the LIW and perhaps Lola but Anna is more recognizable so I wasn't surprised she was the one chosen to die.

tbh I felt sadder for Jenessa because she left the show than I did for Aylee.

Same.

I feel like it was pretty weak writing because they knew they were going to kill her and therefore they didn't bother developing her, but that's the very reason her death barely resonated with anyone... we hardly got to connect with aylee.

I liked her from the beginning and I kept hoping they would give her something a little more. I hope they mention her from time to time. I hate when a character is killed off and never mentioned again. That would just make me sad.

I hope so too. I hate when writers just pretend a character never existed. I hope we get to see some mentions of her from Mary or the other ladies.

She seemed especially close to Mary - she's the one she chose to spy on Catherine, after all - so if Mary never mentions her, I'm going to side eye the writers pretty hard tbh.

I agree with all you about Aylee's death. Would have liked to seen more of her. I hope the characters mention her and avenge her death.
