One of the things I love about Jane and Lisbon is that they never went through that "break up to make up" trope that is so common once a couple actually gets together. And yes, there was a really nice progression from work partners, to good friends, to "we've got to finally admit to our feelings".

They did compress the story line so much that it sometimes felt like a whirlwind romance - which is odd after 6 years of virtually no romance at all.

Oh gosh..I need a rewatch. I am forgetting so many things. The only thing I remember and I'm not even sure if it's accurate is that the whole police department (or alot of the ppl in it) were part of the Red John organization. I think for a long time, I believed it was just one person.

Red John was the founder and one-time leader of the Blake Association, but I think that for some time before he was killed, he was no longer involved as Red John. McAllister may have been a member, but he would have kept his alter identity secret, even from the other Association members.

You're probably right. If Jane didn't find RJ, he probably would have gotten himself arrested or killed because he would have gotten more reckless in his efforts.
