We got like six inches of snow here. I was driving in it last night, I did ok, but it was more avoiding all the other people who weren't doing so well.

Definitely proof that I'm crazy that I went out driving in a snow storm.

Kept driving by accidents, it's a lot of snow. I had the day off to do my other job, but apparently only two people were able to make it in to my department.

Was stuck at work catching up from the day before when only two people were able to make it in because of the weather. Then it took a long time to defrost and deice my car before I could go get gas. Since I have been told that when it's cold like this, you want to keep your tanks as full as you can.

It's been a pretty horrible January. My beloved cat older cat Jackie, who I've had fourteen years is in kidney failure and doesn't have much time left. I found out last Wednesday and was a mess then (just cried the whole day), I've been trying to focus on work, the weather, and everything else so I don't succumb to a weeping mess every five seconds.

I'm so sorry to hear of your lost.

It's always hard to lose a love one, but with me it's like she's my best friend, confidant, and baby all rolled up in one.

thats how my dog was too ;(
but mine was only 5 and had all kinds of health issues that we were unaware of when we adopted him. (we had him since he was a puppy) but his issues got worse, he was in a lot of pain, the meds were no longer helping him. we had no choice but to put him down. we are still heartbroken over losing him.

I understand, we had a rabbit once that had tons of health issues right from the start when we got her. Throughout her life, was filled with tons of health issues, especially ear infections which for a bunny is a major issue. She really started to go down hill and then one night we were trying to clean her up since she had gotten herself all dirty. And her heart gave out and she was gone.
