I prefer cooler weather, like 70's or low 80's with clouds and breeze. I'm the kind of person who curls up with a book or good movie when it rains.

So something happen today that I thought I would share because I thought it was adorable and so sweet. I have a co-worker who has this very cute adorable eight year old son. His son is like a mini-me of him and they are best pals. His son had been at camp for a week and as soon as he got home he had to see his dad as soon as possible. So he shows up at work with his mom and he has a little welcome home head butt with his dad, that was cute, but the story gets better.

The little boy goes home with his mom, and my co worker and I are talking about his son. I told him how it looked like camp agreed with his son. And my co worker happily agrees, he asks if I've seen his son nails and I said no. He proudly and without a negative vibe tells me how his son's nail have nail polish on them. And that they are painted Seahawks colors because that's their team.

And I thought that is parenting done right, when so many fathers would be freaking out that their eight year old boy has nail polish on. This loving father is proudly talking about it like it's nothing to be ashamed of. There wasn't some big threat that this could make his son gay. It was a young boy simply being creative and also showing off the love for his favorite team. And all I could think of, was my co worker was one of the best dads ever.

So today I had to be at work at 6am and the weather was actually pretty decent. It was cool and cloudy. And by the end of the work day when I had started to snap from the lack of sleep. I had this running through my head when the sun started to peak out from the clouds.

We had stormy weather all day and the air is very heavy, even with the temp around 80 F. If the sun had come out, we'd be miserable now.

For Edmonton, they come and they go... It's drier here so it means that when we do get thunderstorms they can get somewhat nasty.

I have a question Jess, have you ever been to Prince Edward Island? It's just I'm a big fan of Anne of Green Gables and I hear it's a beautiful place to visit.
