Depends he could've held his dying body in front of himself to shild himself and then once the guards see he's a skrull they will stop shooting.

Generally spoken I expected a bit more too. The stakes after episode 5 for the finale don't feel that high and I think a few more episodes of build up would have resulted in some better pacing maybe.

I like how grounded it is and carried through acting and dialogues. But I do get when people say they expected more. I have high hopes for the finale.
