I'd classify this as a 'futuristic drama', more than anything. It has its sci fi elements and a bit of romantic comedy as well but it's mostly a futuristic drama. The repetitive dream sequences were thought-provoking.

if i had to critisize one thing it would be the character's lack of backstory...t think maybe that's the only thing that was missing...but the acting of both made up for that.

the small video call with Rachel's parents and also their jobs sharpened them a bit more but however maybe that could have been improved.

That's why many say it would've made a stellar story for the TV show Black Mirror. With Emilia and Chiwetel obviously.

I enjoyed 2-3 episodes of this season, especially joan is awful which was a good satire on ai writing in tv shows as well ad beyond the sea.

But yes overall the early seasons were better.
