While it's not my intention I can see Tina's and Nicki's point. For some reason I find it easier to write Thorin than Dany. It could be because I have watched The Hobbit more than I have watched GoT. Also Thorin's way to madness in the movies is something that really fascinates me, Richard plays those parts so well and it's so easy to imagine. I will try to do the same with Dany

i like them both in your fanfic a lot Julia don't worry, you are capturing them great and they don't have to be 100 % like in the movies. it is your story and your characters, that's what makes everything so interesting

the Dany in your fanfic reminds me at the Dany in season 1/2. she still needs to grow and get more confidence. but i do like the troubled Dany who is emotional and cries. i sometimes miss that in GOT

That is also how I want her to be. This story (or at least te beginning) is set around the same time as season 1-2. I also miss those scenes on GoT, we haven't gotten that many of them but I hope we will next season.

General question in here: Do you like Smaug's ability to speak and wished that Dany's dragons were able to speak too?

I don't know if this is happening but I am very curious for a Dany/Smaug conversation.

I see Tolkien's world and GRRM's world as two different things which means I enjoy Smaug's ability to speak but I wouldn't like if Dany's dragons could speak, I wouldn't change that. I haven't come so far in my planning yet but I can definitely see Dany and Smaug having a conversation.

i like Smaug's ability to speak but i have a hard time imagining the dragons in GOT speaking. it wouldn't fit imo and i am glad they are dragons without speaking
