Thanks for opening
The conversation between Dany and Barristan was lovely and Dany actually smiled in this scene Rhaegar/Lyanna, YES The more I was shocked and sad about the end. I believe that Barristan will die and Grey Worm will live. It's not clear that Barristan died already is it? Oh and best episode so far of season 5 in my opinion. __________________

Barristan did live up to his reputation though, went out swinging and had a nice scene with Dany just before his death. Certainly a more suitable death than most of the characters who have died before on this show. The fight scene was great. Also, Dany's story needs to have her "mentor" go at this point and for her to get a jolt to the gut.
For Dany/Jon shippers: Jon had a mentor who is dead and Dany now too. |

What can you say about Sansa in the crypts? LF had no place to be down there, which is proving he is beyond creepy. And what is even creepier is the thought of Sansa and Ramsay. He will hurt her for sure.
I can fully appreciate it if Ian McElhinney was the actor who complained. He had more to offer to the show, and to Dany's Arc. Barristan was Dany's link to her family, telling the good and the bad. Now he is gone and Dany won't get more stories to hear. But if this means that Jorah can come back I am willing to take it. So, Melisandre does have her eyes on Jon! Creepy! I don't ship her with Jon but I didn't like Ygritte either so I just ship him with nobody. Cersei is stupid in my opinion. So the faith militants were her weapons but I think that will back fire on her. It's just a matter of time. Brilliant Episode, the best so far also in my opinion. This Episode really moved the plot forward a lot. And the most important now: Let the speculations of Rhaegar and Lyanna begin __________________

Sansa trusts LF, to a certain degree. So i don't see anything particularly creepy in the Crypt scene or that he was even there in the first place.
LF might be taking advantage of Sansa to further his own end-game, but he is also the first person in a very long while who is actually treating Sansa pretty well. So i don't blame her that she trusts him. And he is even teaching her something about scheming and stuff, which she could use in the future. The problem with Barristan on the show compared to Barristan in the books is that in books he doesn't have Peter Dinklage to compete against. Tyrion's storyline in A Dance with Dragons are not that straightforward, he takes many detours along the way and he takes forever to get to Meereen, which might not make for very good television. I think the showrunners felt that the best use of Dinklage's talent would be if they sped through all that and got him to Meereen more quickly. And then there is sort of one character too many in Meereen. And apparently that caused Barristan to get dealt a killing blow. That Cersei makes a mistake in reinstating the faith Militant is no surprise. Cersei thinks that she is way more smart than she actually is and her storyline this season is sort of meant to show how wrong it will go when she has all the power and needs to actually rule. __________________

I don't see the problem of having both Barristan and Jorah in the show. Why to choose? Don't get that, why had he to die?
