The fact that Ward took the time to give Fitz advice about Simmons makes my heart soar, even with all the bad, and Fitz' reaction.
 Fitz is the Team's little brother. That has to trigger something in Ward. __________________

I am wondering how legitimate the first part of that interaction was, though. If Ward was just keeping up appearances until he was like, "Whatever, I don't care." when Fitz was being, well, Fitz.

I'm choosing to believe that it was genuine, that advice he gives to Fitz. Mainly because it was not like him to give an 'advice' to Fitz.

I have a feeling Jemma will be angrier at Ward than Fitz. Yes Fitz will be angry, but Jemma will be angrier.

I am choosing to believe that he thought it would float and that he was giving them the best chance. Fitz looked heartbroken. That is the only thing I didn't like about the episode.

I think they left it all grey so it would cause the discussion that is happening. Like, the plane was low over the water, Fitz had to figure out why they sank so it's possible the container should have floated, etc. But Ward was still terrible and dropped them from a plane, so.

I agree totally. He was terrible but I need them to bring that up in season two. If it means that Fitz hates Ward then so be it but it should be discussed I think.
