So a friend of mine and I were trying to decide that if there was a Lion King AU fic (may or may not be writing one just for myself and her amusement) who each character would be. One of the easiest decisions was to make River Rafiki - mostly because this scene reminds us of her in Serenity.

It's his wordplay (he's the gray message and I'm the blue) so I'll pass that on to him! He responded to my "haha" with "I'm glad you got that." I was like Dad, I showed you Firefly, of course I'd get it!
