You wouldn't be the only one. I've only watched like 3 episodes this year and the only reason I still read news/spoilers is to see if Mike survives.


I wonder if the showrunners feel stupid for acting like S4 was a sure thing before S3 even started..

Well, unfortunately I can't say I'm surprised I felt like Fox was getting ready to cancel it even before they aired it since they barely seemed to do any promotional stuff for it this season. I'm sad but this season really hasn't been doing it for me so I'm not quite as sad as I would have been in season 2 or 1.

I mostly feel bad for the cast, crew, and writers though. You could tell they all really loved working on the show, it would have been nice if they got a final fourth season.

I just really hope we get a good ending. It would be nice for Mike and Max to be happy with Ryan getting back on the wagon so he can enjoy having a family with Gwen.

Yep the cast really did enjoy working together. I'm not sure if Kevin will be a regular on a tv show anytime soon but I hope Sam & Shawn will be.

Me too, I know the Following is a dark show but I would like a somewhat happy ending for our 3 mains as the series finale.

So one of the executive producers, Alexi Hawley just got named as co-showrunner for Castle. That seems pretty fast considering the Following's cancellation was just announced yesterday. It really makes me think that they knew cancellation was a strong possibility. If so I don't think we'll have to worry too much about any loose threads.

I'd love to see Shawn and Sam in another show. They've both really shown their acting chops with their characters. I don't think KB will be doing another show for a while either. At least James Purefoy has a new show coming out next year

Looks like the finale brings closure to some storylines but not all. Anyone read this scoop?

Look for things to go south in a big way for Ryan Hardy. “All this season we've been dealing with the question of … can we have a work life and can we have a family life, and how do we make those two things work together?” co-executive producer Brett Mahoney tells us. “In the finale, [Ryan] is going to find his answer to that question, and I don't think it's going to be the answer that he was hoping for or expecting.” That doesn’t bode well for Ryan’s relationship with Gwen, sadly. “That's what comes to a head,” Mahoney says. “Ryan’s obsession with Joe and obsession with the job vs. trying to have a three-dimensional life with Gwen. ... It's almost like Gwen is trying to pull him into the light, whereas Joe is trying to drag him into the darkness.” And of course, because this is The Following, not everyone will survive the season – and not everyone is what they seem. “There will be deaths,” Mahoney says. “And I will say, in the finale, one character's true nature will be revealed.” x

So Ryan's ending is not all rainbows and sunshine..

Obvious candidates for death are Mark, Daisy, Ealy's character, swat boyfriend. Maybe Mendez but I hope not and I refuse to add Weston to the list.

As for the last bolded part, I don't have a guess at the moment but it better not be a twist that makes no sense.

Poor Ryan, that does not bode well for him. I really hope they did alternate endings in case they got cancelled and that he does end up happy
