^ Valentine experiment on both to see one w/ demon blood and one w/ angel blood.. So he want to see both w/ powers that they can use, so he can used them for his own plan..

He did so that's why Sebastian is half demon. Plus, I think Valentine needed a son to have demon blood in him so he could be able to go into hell and control the demons.

Yeah definitely. I think he despises Jace for that and much more so in the books as Valentine seemed to favour Jace more than him. But on the show, he doesn't seem to care about Valentine that much.
