Unpopular opinion, but I miss Daryl. This second half of the season has shown a Daryl I'm not impressed with. I'm used to seeing a strong decisive man, not the broken one we have. I think once he sees his family and friends again, we'll see our old Daryl. I think losing Rick, Carol, Michonne, Glenn, Carl and Maggie has left him hollow.

I have to disagree, I'm loving this new Daryl and I hope he continues to show his softer side while still being badass like he has been in the second half. I don't see anything that really changed expect for letting someone, Beth in and showing his humanity side and actually allowed someone to get close even though it was a risk seeing as that person could and did leave him. Of course it wasn't by choice but still as Norman said Daryl has some real abandonment issues and I think that's why he's so broken right now. I think while he missed Rick (He was actually the only one he mentioned of not seeing again) He had Beth there to keep him focused and he seemed to have hope towards the end and wanted to just live in the moment alone with Beth because at least he had someone, someone he really care about and for and I think once he lost that all the hope died and he was right back to after the prison attack. So while I love "old" Daryl, I actually hope the writers keep giving Daryl growth as they did in the second half because I'm loving the new Daryl and besides I would hate to see Daryl become a one note character because that would just become boring.

If we really look at Daryl every season he is changing and growing from where he was. Season one Daryl wasn't Season 2 Daryl and so on and so fourth. And I'm sure come season 5 Daryl will once again have some sort of growth and change.

But he haven't grief ever since he lost his brother and he have seen many people who die, but yet, he kept it to himself that he doesn't like to share the feelings or anything like that til Beth said something and it made him realize about it, but I think that it made him much stronger than being isolate what he used to be before bec of what he said about his fam that he start to have humanity.. So I disagree w/ what you said.. Shrug..
