That's actually great news that NBC listened to the fans. This is a great step for network TV, imo. Congrats to Timeless!

ABC fall schedule: Once Upon a Time banished to Fridays

While Shark Tank gets promoted to Sundays in major switcharoo
JAMES HIBBERD POSTED ON MAY 16, 2017

The Once Upon a Time season 7 shakeup continues. ABC just released its 2017 fall schedule (below) and the ABC fantasy drama is getting booted from its longtime Sunday night slot over to Friday nights. Not only that, but reality hit Shark Tank — which has spent nearly its entire existence on Fridays — is getting promoted to the Sunday slot formerly occupied by OUAT. (It’s like somebody in Storybrooke cast a time period switcharoo spell.) The move follows Once Upon losing six series regulars for next season and gives some added clarity as to why ABC canceled both Last Man Standing and Dr. Ken — the network did indeed have big plans for its time period.

Other notables from the schedule: Marvel’s miniseries Inhumans will get a lead-in from Once Upon on Friday nights (with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. being pushed to later in the season), Black-ish is moving from Wednesdays to Tuesdays, and Shonda Rhimes will continue to own Thursday nights unabated. Plus ABC also announced a live musical production of The Little Mermaid.

Here’s ABC’s schedule:

MONDAY:
8:00 p.m. “Dancing with the Stars”
10:00 p.m. “The Good Doctor”

TUESDAY:
8:00 p.m. “The Middle”
8:30 p.m. “Fresh Off the Boat” (new time period)
9:00 p.m. “black-ish” (new day and time period)
9:30 p.m. “The Mayor”
10:00 p.m. “The Gospel of Kevin”

WEDNESDAY:
8:00 p.m. “The Goldbergs”
8:30 p.m. “Speechless”
9:00 p.m. “Modern Family”
9:30 p.m. “American Housewife” (new day and time period)
10:00 p.m. “Designated Survivor”

THURSDAY:
8:00 p.m. “Grey’s Anatomy”
9:00 p.m. “Scandal”
10:00 p.m. “How to Get Away with Murder”

FRIDAY:
8:00 p.m. “Once Upon a Time” (new day and time period)
9:00 p.m. “Marvel’s Inhumans”
10:00 p.m. “20/20”

SATURDAY:
8:00 p.m. “Saturday Night Football”

SUNDAY:
7:00 p.m. “America’s Funniest Home Videos”
8:00 p.m. “To Tell the Truth” (new day and time period)
9:00 p.m. “Shark Tank” (new day and time period)
10:00 p.m. “Ten Days in the Valley”

Trailers for ABC’s new shows should be available later Tuesday, but we can tell you The Good Doctor is a medical drama starring Freddie Highmore (Bates Motel) as a surgeon with autism, Ten Days in the Valley stars Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) as a single mom whose daughter vanishes, The Mayor is a comedy about a young rapper played by newcomer Brandon Michael Hall who accidentally gets elected mayor of his hometown, and The Gospel of Kevin is a comedy starring Jason Ritter (Parenthood) who gets a mission to save the world

This has nothing to do with the show of the 80th! They should have given this series another name, change the name of the characters. It is really weird to watch this stuff when you know the Original. But it's probably a try to resurrect a show which was the most popular in the 80th/90th. They did the same with Dallas a few years ago. We all know how this ended.

Fall TV 2017: The Full Broadcast Schedule | Hollywood Reporter

Quote:
'This Is Us,' 'Gotham,' 'Empire' and 'Once Upon a Time,' among others, are on the move as the Big Five preach stability while still taking some big swings.
Following a 2016-17 broadcast season that featured scheduling moves every night of the week, the five broadcast networks touted stability, with a greater number of returning shows as part of their 2017-18 schedules.

That isn't to say that there weren't some big-swing moves. Among the key shifts, NBC moved breakout This Is Us to Thursdays as part of its revived "Must-See TV" lineup. Fox bumped up Empire to open Wednesdays to use it as a launchpad for fellow Lee Daniels music drama Star, creating a night of "Must Lee TV," while also moving Batman origin story Gotham to Thursdays at 8 p.m. ABC created a night of genre programming on Fridays with Once Upon a Time leading into Marvel fare. CBS, as usual, had few changes outside of moving a couple returning shows back an hour or two. And The CW transported Arrow into the fierce Thursdays at 9 p.m. position opposite the final season of Scandal and This Is Us.

Here's a look at the final fall schedule for 2017-18, with formal premiere dates to be announced in the coming months. (Keep track of all new and returning show return dates with THR's handy guide.)
