Dragging up an old thread because thanks to Hulu Plus I am addicted to this show. I am in the first episodes of season 3. I feel bad for the girls, who are Princesses one second and then bastards the next. I know things change for them, just the scene where they are talking about how Elizabeth is being billed for her Mother's jail time as well as housing costs astounds me.

I have just re-watched this show from start to finish and I never ever get bored of it. I know this is a super old thread but I'm new to forum posting so I'm just tracking down all my interests and opening up discussion again.
I think this show was so well done: from the casting to the costumes, to the locations and the props. I know a few people have complained that it is not entirely historically accurate but it's as close as. I find it so ironic that Henry was desperate to have a male heir and yet it was Elizabeth, his daughter by Anne Boleyn who went on to be one of England's greatest queens. Everything that she went through as a child and young adult only substantiates the irony. Also Princess Mary - in history she is known as 'Bloody Mary' for her cruel and brutal acts towards the Protestants but Sarah Bolger played her with such a wonderful vulnerability that I found myself feeling so sorry for her more often than not. Did anyone else feel like that? Would love to hear and take part in more discussion |

I did feel sorry for Mary honestly, until the end. In the end I felt she was becoming "evil"
I feel like I could re-watch this again, although it consumed me for so long. __________________

I am almost done with s1. It takes a lot of concentration but I still like it. I feel bad for Wolsey he's about to get his downfall.

I decided to watch this show on a whim after letting my sister's borrow my PS3 last night, and even though I've got it (my PS3) back and could be watching Elementary (which is what I had been watching), I've found myself unable to stop watching this show instead.
I'm absolutely hooked, and will be adding the series to my DVD collection as soon as my income permits. __________________

I just finished watching his show and I loved it. It's been on my to-watch list forever and I can't believe it took me so long.

I liked them all for different reasons because I like all of his wives for different reasons.
But my love for Natalie dormer makes me partial to season 2. I loved watching that downfall. |
