Well the guy who directed all the episodes of season one left. I know he had a huge hand in how things were so I'm pretty sure that was the big one for why season 2 wasn't as good.

I was so hook and he did amazing job w/ S1.. I wish that they kept him around for S2 bec I'm sure that S2 would be so good..

It would have been better, but there was still some writing problems that would have needed some time to fix. Plus who thought casting Vince Vaughan was a good idea? Lol

True but Cary ***unaga is also a writer so hopefully he would have helped fixed that as well. He co-wrote IT. And

about Vince Vaughan. I do think he can be good sometimes but that obviously wasn't the case here.

ETA: I always forget this site censors Cary F.ukunaga's name.

That is true lol, I think HBO kinda rushed it a bit due to the success of S1 too

They probably did but I also think the writing was straight up bad.

I really hope season 3 is better but I don't know if that's even possible anymore if it's all done by the same guy.

Yeah, but taking more time would have probably improved the writing a bit

Maybe. It probably would have helped but the writer, Nic Pizzolatto, has acted like his writing wasn't the the problem so I don't know if time would have helped anything.
