Thanks for sharing the article from his family. That's so unfortunate he was trying to come clean from alcohol addiction and died from withdrawal. Prayers go out to his friends and family.

So sad at such a young age to leave us
Yes, I read all of the books and actually got to the point where I had trouble watching the show because of how much the SL differed from the books.

His character was such a delight in the show though and one I'm glad played a bigger role on screen.

604 (finally watched another episode)

The Jason dream scene was pretty hilarious. I liked the entire storyline with Jason/Sookie/Warlow and Claude. Its a shame Claude is gone now. Sookie was pretty bad ass at the end there with the fireball thing or whatever it was she was holding over him lol.

Jessica killing the fairy daughters was crazy! I thought she had a bit more control than that.

In general though there are just too many things going on this season. Like Sam, Eric, Bill and Alcide all have their own separate storylines going on, its just a bit much. I wish they would come together a bit more?

I finished season 6. (After a year )

I thought it was an enjoyable season. More so than last season. I still feel like things are all over the place but I'm understanding the storylines a lot more than last year.

Alcides storyline is by far the most boring, followed by Sam. Not even entirely sure what was going on there, nor do I really care. I barely paid attention to those moments. The Sam/Sookie random tension scene was just weird to me. That seemed to kinda come out of nowhere.

Seeing Eric/Pam at the research place was somewhat interesting I guess. Also Jessica. But it did drag out just a bit long. I wish we had a bit more Tara this season. The Tara/Pam thing also seemed to be totally dropped which was strange to me. I also wish that Eric had a bit more to do.

Jessica going to Jason was interesting. I sort of missed their interactions. I wish they had more of a friendship. Jessica and her new guy are okay but meh. I miss Hoyt.

Eric/Jason interaction in the second to last episode was amazing. Loved it. Those two have great chemistry. Jason's new chick Violet was annoying. Not sure how/why he is still with her after 6 months and actually being celibate? Wow, thats impressive lol.

It was sad to see Terry’s downfall and then death. His funeral was nice though. Didn’t really care to see Nora go. I liked the addition of Willa and Adeline though!

Bill was nuts this season but I am glad to see Lillith gone at the end of it. Not into the whole Bill/Sookie hinting they seem to be doing though.

Lafayatte needs more to do but they need to combine some of these storylines so they can progress further. Everything just feels so segregated and there are too many characters.

I did like the scenes with Sooki talking to her parents. I can’t believe they wrote it that they tried to kill her. WTF. Warlow was an interesting character. Being so in love with Sookie was a bit annoying though. Him hitting her in the end of the season was a shock. I knew something was up with him. Glad when they got rid of him.

The finale was really good, it felt like old school TB to me. But WTF WAS THAT WITH ERIC GETTING BURNED. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He better not really be dead! And Sookie and Alcide are together now? Meh... The flashfoward scenes were a bit strange and too long for my taste. They coulda saved those for the premiere...

This show is just so far from where it was. I lost interest a long time ago and now I’m just trying to finish it out. but just pne season to go! 10 episodes... I hope in the final season they can sort of combine storylines so that its not so all over the place. I wouldnt mind seeing a few of the characters go.

I never cared for Sam or Alcide. But I think that was the point, so when Sookie went off with one of the other guys, like Eric , then we liked it more! ;D

Her and Eric were the best! I need to rewatch their scenes at some point.

Started season 7...

701:
Killing Tara that quick, wtf. Sucks we didn’t even see the body. No one really seemed all that upset. Jessica seemed more upset than Sookie! And because we didn’t see the death it felt like the fastest thing ever. Why did the actress want to leave?

Trying to swap out a new actor to replace Jessica’s old boyfriend was just strange. They look nothing alike. lol. Couldn’t they have just killed James off screen too and then introduced a new character? But I do prefer the new actor. I do love the interaction between him and Lafayette though!

Pam’s storyline was boring to me.... No Eric was lame too.

702:

UMMM WOW @ that Jason and Eric scene. Why the hell did it have to be a dream, that was the hottest thing ever wtf! Jason waking up in the church after was so hilarious. But this scene also felt totally random.

Not sure what was up with Sookies dumb dreams/flashback whatever it was about Bill. Bleck. Let’s not go back there please.

What the hell, we seriously get Pam in the last 2 minutes of the episode? Not cool. At least we found out that Eric is still alive.

703:

Best episode in a while imo.

Sookie and Bill, meh. Not enjoying that interaction again. Make it stop. That ship sailed long ago! I made peace with the fact that Sookie and Eric were done, but do I have to have BS back?

Not that sad to see Alcide die. I think it was long overdue because his character bores me. It was a very random and anti climatic death though. Could have happened earlier.

Violet sucks. Please go away. Jason can do better.

Willa's storyline was boring and it didn't fit in the episode to me. It felt very filler.

I enjoyed the Eric and Pam flashbacks because I really love both of them obviously. Glad Eric decided to fight for his life in the end even though I could care less about his past fling.

Adeline/Jessica storyline is kinda meh. But I did enjoy the Jessica/Jason scene. Sucks that Jessica isn’t healing. Wonder what that is about. Kinda surprised to see them kill of Hoyt’s mom finally! Wonder if he will be back.

Lafayette/James is what I am here for. Seriously, they are the best part of the show right now. I cant wait to see their storyline. James is totally crushing on Lafayette and when he fixed his neck... sdfdsfsd

I'd love to so a full series re-watch!

I loved her and Eric together most, I get the whole Sookie/Bill thing, but didn't like him for her.

Sookie and Eric really were the best! They had such steamy chemistry.

Even though Anna and Stephen are married in real life because of the show, I felt it more for Eric and Sookie, at least character wise.

Agreed. In the books, it's the same way. Sookie doesn't really date Bill that long in the book series.

I started the books in between season 1 and season 2. The first book goes with season 1, the 2nd with season 2, etc.

My issue is I got ahead of the TV series and had trouble watching the later seasons because they were so different than the books.

Personally, i really preferred Sookie's character in the books over her character on the show. I recommend them. They were a fun read, and i zipped through the series.

My thing is, I like to read a series all at once, so I would want to buy all books at once!

I just bought 40 at a book fair, so I'd have to wait. Who knows maybe I'll look at the iBooks app on my iPad for something like that.

Or the audible books!

I liked the books a lot too. I think I read up to 8 or 9? I never finished though because they got a bit weird and like the show it strayed from Eric/Sookie which annoyed me.
