Steve if definitely my favorite. He became my favorite in season 2 because hes hilarious and just awesome. Dustin is close behind. Have always loved Dustin.

after that I would say Jonathan, Hopper, then Will.

TBH Eleven isn't my favorite at all. She's just kinda there for me. I mean, she had a good storyline obviously, but she barely talked in season 1 and then in season 2 she was isolated so its hard for me to connect with her. She's a "cool" character sure, but I think the others have more humor and depth.

I the kids as a group and Eleven, they were the focus in season 1 and have been my favourite since.

I do love the evolution of other characters too, like Steve.

I ship hopper/joyce and nancy/jonathan. but I'm not obsessed with either and dont really care where the SL goes.

I think mike/eleven will be cute when they get older but its too weird for me to ship it right now.

I like Hopper/Joyce & Jonathan/Nancy too but don't actively ship them anymore. I used to be so crazy over Jonathan & Nancy especially in S1 but they were just meh in S2 but I still do like them. I like Mike & Eleven more now than I did back in S1. The time apart made me realize that.

Well there's Max know but we just met her so not enough to like her just yet. Plus I didn't like how she treated Dustin.

I totally agree with that. I love the idea of them but won't be heartbroken if they don't happen or continue.

I was surprised that we didn't see Hopper/Joyce being couple in S2.. When I tho that they will be..

They're probably building up to it. I was also surprised Joyce had a bf in S2 at that time. I think Joyce & Hopper really share a close friendship especially with all the stuff they went through with Will and then now with Eleven and the rest. If it's any indication, that very last scene with them at the dance in S2 is good enough confirmation that they might end together down the road.
