I caught the end of episode 4 the other day and was intrigued. So I went back today and watched the first 4. So far I like it. Kind of reminds me of Lord of the Rings, though they would be in the same book genre.

I was thinking about checking out the books. I believe one of my old bosses read these books. That's until I saw there was total 33 books. Even if I just read the original trilogy that these are based on, I don't think I could just stop there if I end up really liking them.

The attempted rape scene really infuriated me. This is a teen show and if Skin was too extreme for Mtv, attempted rape should be, too. What gets me is that she's the goddamn princess. People will coming looking for her and they'd rip him to shreds once they found out anything and everything he's been doing.

That said, this episode was great. Fake Arian killing the king was a shocker.

yeah i was shocked at the (attempted) rape scene. i couldnt believe they did that on a teen drama. i guess since its on at 10pm they figure they can get away with more stuff though

It might be a teen drama but it's a realistic issue that a lot of teens face, so I'm not surprised that it was on there.

It is a realistic issue but people can be sensitive to watching it. If they're going to show something as brutal as that then at least show it later on at night. 10pm is still a little early.

They are now saying that it aims to bring "Game of Thrones magic" to the show

I can completely understand your statement Vicki, but I also think that is why there is a parental guidance announcement at the beginning of the episodes to warn for sexual content etc..

At least I get that disclaimer here before I watch...

GoT isn't even interesting anymore and it's on HBO. Copying Game of Thrones isn't having magic to it, it's going to make it stupid.

To me 10pm is a late spot. There isn't a spot later than 10pm.

They never pushed the rape or anything brutal but Gossip Girl pushed several lines when it was on aired.

OTH showed Peyton almost getting raped. PLL goes into some dark stuff.
