i loved the scene when roseanne pushed harris in the sink and squirted her with the hose bit extreme but pretty funny

glad darlene finally decided to stop being a pushover and stood up to harris and made her clean up her mess and behave

I loved the two episode premiere and the last episode. I watched the original when it aired with my family, it's what we'd do together.

I'm sad we've not seen David yet, as he's been shown in the previews, and I know he has other obligations with Big Bang, but I hope he's in the next episode!

how many episodes is he suppose to be on? i dont think its many cuz of his filming on TBBT. i got the impression darlene is raising the kids on her own thats why she is living at home

^^^ It was stated that she lost her job and that's why she moved back home but there's been no mention of David in the situation or if and when he sees the kids so that's why it's confusing.

IMDb.com only lists him as being in one episode (Episode 5 "Darlene V David").

I think they weren't sure until the show was into filming if they were able to get Johnny appearance due to the network cross with Big Bang Theory. So they wanted to leave it a open question.

But from what I gather, yeah it sounds Darlene has been a single mother for quite a while, and it's a open question whether David has had been a presence.

Heck Harris didn't even say, I miss Dad in her "homesick for Chicago" rebellion.

There is 9 episodes in all. The first order was for 8, but they moved it up to 9.

Also I have heard they are airing some of the episodes out of order. The second episode was filmed after the most recent one with Harris's battle with Roseanne.

They apparently felt the airing of the Gender debate with Mark was a better fit with the premiere episode, so they switched them around...

I get that Johnny has commitments with Big Bang, I just wish he'd already made some sort of appearance.

Given the hit that BBT is for CBS, I think they would be more apprehensive about Johnny making a big commitment for the show. And also the taping schedule I think factored into it too... So it took some negotiation to get them to figure out a way to make it work. It wasn't like it was a eighteen episode order that Will and Grace had so they had a lot of time to make it work.

Roseanne only had a eight, and upgraded a extra. So they all had a limited time.

Also, they needed a plausible way for Darlene to move home again. So to have trouble for her and David... makes sense...

But from the little I have heard, I am surprised by how they are working the David situation.

Maybe the second season will have more a chance because everyone assumes BBT is most likely ending next season. So there won't be as much issues probably because it doesn't matter... although if Roseanne keeps getting the ratings, CBS might have some worries...

But a show going into it's last season might have more latitude. So David's return, maybe it be a start for next season.

I've heard BBT might be ending too, so if that's the case, you're definitely thinking right about schedules opening up. Again, time will tell.
