I think Patty is essentially a control freak. Angela has shed the familiar (Sharon/Brian) for Rayanne and Ricky (unfimiliar) to Patty. She knows Sharon and Brian but she doesn't know anything about Ricky or Rayanne. And poor Ricky inherited Rayanne's bad image. Also, Patty and Graham are constantly struggling with how far to butt into other peoples lives.

I agree, they could have been A LOT less awkward with Ricky when he came over. They should be able to tell when someone is in trouble. However, I don't think they knew he was homeless, they probab;y assumed he got in a fight with his parents, and if Angela were to get in a fight with them they would want the other parents to send her home.

She was grating- but also most complex. I always had a hard time believing that she was most popular in high school. She just seems so uptight.
