There are also some moments that make me laugh. Like this one scene with Greg where he corrected Holden about sadomasochism.

Greg: It's not S&M. It's sadomasochism not sado and masochism.

Wayne Williams was charged for the killing of two of the older victims but not the kids. The cops/prosecutors do think he did it which is why those cases essentially were stopped being investigated. That's why the mothers are frustrated because there's no "official" justice for their children and once again they're being ignored like they were when they first started going missing.

However, there is the thought that he may not have done all of the disappearances/murders and, because it was such a hard case to crack, they just kind of dumped all the killings on him.

So I think now the belief is that Wayne Williams did some but perhaps someone else did some of the others. I think they're hoping that they can use DNA and get him for some of the child murders or find someone else via familial DNA.

I like the BTK killer teases but I don't think we're ever going to get him investigated/caught on the show as this is taking place in 1981 but he isn't caught until the 2000s. As Kemper said, their profile is based on the killers who were caught.
