I think some parts of the show are very realistic but not the basis of course. I don't believe God would let that happen, not for those reasons anyway, I know terrible things are happening every day but we probably can't ever take it thus far. it'll be over before that, but like you said it really doesn't matter bc watching people suffer like that is very disturbing whether fictional or not

Personally I don't believe this world will ever happen. Yes things are polerizing but there are checks and balances and all that.
It just the way they show things is hard to watch sometimes

Where are you up to?

Yep. There are things on the show that I'd rather not watch even if it's technically a dystopia show. Rape is something that I don't like seeing on TV because it happens and it's traumatizing.

stlavin95 03-26-2019 01:19 AM

Rape is very hard to watch indeed

fox24 03-26-2019 06:41 AM

I am like on 1.08. I'll probably resume watching when I visit my parents in the summer

The hunger games and divergent are easier to watch cause they don't have rape

stlavin95 03-26-2019 04:02 PM

Okay

its hard to watch yes but its such an amazing and well written series, so not watching episodes is a shame, you're doing a disservice to yourself.

I would think the writers would want viewers to feel sympathy for the things that are happening onscreen to the characters otherwise what's the point so yeah I agree it's tough to watch too much of this show all at once.

stlavin95 03-26-2019 08:54 PM

They certainly do

There's this other show I watched where it was implied that there's rape going on. They didn't show it but you can hear it. It was just as worse. :(

stlavin95 03-27-2019 01:44 AM

True :(

JoJoF92 03-27-2019 01:51 AM

oh God it's awful either way:no:

stlavin95 03-27-2019 02:05 AM

It certainly is

I don't know how people can watch this so fast!

Alexa 03-31-2019 05:18 PM

I have a totally different perspective. Id rather binge it all in 1/2 days and be a bit depressed those days than just drag out the depressingness lol.
