An American adaptation of the Israeli show of the same name, "Euphoria" follows the troubled life of 17-year-old Rue, a drug addict fresh from rehab with no plans to stay clean. Circling in Rue's orbit are Jules, a transgender girl searching for where she belongs; Nate, a jock whose anger issues mask sexual insecurities; Chris, a football star who finds the adjustment from high school to college harder than expected; Cassie, whose sexual history continues to dog her; and Kat, a body-conscious teen exploring her sexuality. As the classmates struggle to make sense of their futures, the series tackles the teenage landscape of substance-enhanced parties and anxiety-ridden day-to-day life with empathy and candor.

I really liked this show, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. I'm also a big fan of Zendaya, she did great as Rue. Looking forward to her story too.

I watch this show and I haven't watch the last three episode.. Only one part htat not realistic to hire little kid that look like 8 years old as drug dealers.. Nope.. I live in NYC and I know some kids who can able to do that after 13-15 years old, but 8??? No comments..

JoJoF92 08-16-2019 04:57 PM

I think he's around 10 or something but it's not uncommon these days:shrug:

I sure do:D it's such an honest show with beautiful performances. while I tink teens today can definitely relate to it I wouldn't necessarily want them to watch it just yet cause it's very traumatizing at times but I guess kids today can't really be protected from that cause they're gonna see it everywhere anyways

Elle 08-16-2019 07:20 PM

I'm with you JoJo

Butterfly85 08-16-2019 09:52 PM

You have to get used to it, but it's a really great show. I was so impressed by Zendaya's acting in it too. I hope she wins many awards for her performance as Rue.

JoJoF92 08-17-2019 02:00 AM

she'd really deserve it:nod: she's doing a fantastic job

Agreed

CONDEMNED666 08-26-2019 06:10 PM

i loved how formless the last episode was, there was very little story in the last episode (compared to the others). it was just performance pieces set to music after one another

Elle 08-27-2019 05:49 AM

It ended in a super artsy and cool way. I liked it it a lot :)

JoJoF92 08-28-2019 12:14 AM

yeah, you're right. not much happened at the prom itself, except for Rue and Jules deciding to run away, and Fez was doing lots of risky things during that time but it was still so well done in terms of feels and looks and all:nod:

the only conversation of substance was how the kids were talking about their lives peaking at high school, and how nate points out how everyone will go on to lead unremarkable lives from this point on

but seriously, the scene where
Spoiler:
that totally gutpunched me

i can relate as its happened :(

Elle 08-28-2019 06:12 AM

That was quite a scene

JoJoF92 08-29-2019 12:25 AM

it was really sad:bawl:

Dont wanna read much of the thread because I dont want to be spoiled but I started this today!

It super graphic but hard not to be intrigued by everything going on. Im enjoying watching it for sure.

JoJoF92 01-10-2020 01:42 AM

glad you like it Alexa:nod: it certainly is hard to watch sometimes but it's such a great story with amazing actors

Elle 01-10-2020 08:21 AM

Enjoy Alexa! Let us know what you think

Butterfly85 01-10-2020 01:58 PM

lol I forgot there was a Euphoria thread here, it never got talked in. I'm glad we have the Euphoria and Zendaya board for more discussion there. I just rewatched the show again and I still love it, it just felt even shorter now. Eight episodes was way too short, I hope S2 has a least 13 episodes.
