I don't think this is reliable as I've seen it making the rounds for a while now... BUT if there were more, I would think it would be better to have one last film and show life of Downton after Violet. |

TFTNT!
I came here to also verify this. While Radio Times is a magazine publication in the UK (kind of like TV Guide), I haven't seen any other news sites confirm this. Also Dame Maggie is old and can't do any more TV shows or movies. She can't be in every episode unless they are doing this without Violet. __________________

I haven't. I'm waiting for it to go to streaming here. We got the first movie on Netflix years later but it's removed now.

I don't want to spoil the second film but Violet's story comes to an end.
I think it was hinted in the first Film when she sits with Mary and tells her she's sick. But it's the beautiful way they give her a send off. So if there is a third film or a season 7, ( I would prefer a final movie), then it would be great to look at Downton after Violet. |

Wow I had no idea until you mentioned it. They will film the movie after shooting S7?
