"The television show’s never been officially canceled, there may be updates on it yet," he says. "Nickelodeon didn’t really cancel it; the only way a show is officially canceled is if Nickelodeon puts out a press release."

"But I know they wanted to complete some stuff; there’s some stuff in the works happening right now, it’s in development. But there’s nothing I can actually say. But ‘Big Time Rush’ is a huge brand and it’s a band that’s very popular, so we want to make sure the fans have what they want; that they’re never disappointed. So we’re very conscious of all that."

"I think for every band to stay healthy, you have to be able to explore things that make them happy, other than Big Time Rush," Schmidt says. "And for me, I just love making music. I’d be doing it whether it was just for myself or if I was writing it for somebody else."

"The boys have always known that and they have dreams and aspirations as well, so we never want to hold each other back. We want to always support each other’s adventures."

I hope they choose to put out another album or another season.

Nickelodeon's new shows isn't doing them any favors, so hopefully they will at least do a few more special episodes.

“Big Time Rush” Star Carlos PenaVega to Host Nick’s Game Show “Webheads”
