That's one of the fics I meant.

What's worse is that sometimes I check the comments and she's there saying she has the rest of the fic planned out and that she will update it at some point and I'm like ...... :'))) Free us of this misery and fooking do it then.

and that's just cruel at this point

I had another WIP in a different fandom where the author came back from a 1 yr hiatus saying the same... and then within like 4 months she had not just not finished the fic, but deleted it and her tumblr and

We should just learn to never read WIPs. Never ever ever.

Of course.

Sometimes I want to re-read because it's so damn good but then I realize that would just be torturing myself.

And omg that's terrible.

At least this author is still active on the fandom, just not on the fic we want.

Yeah, I'm tempted to reread too sometimes, but you'd just be left hanging again at the same place wanting moooore. Only 8 chapters left... we might see the fic finished in 2025 then? Here's hoping

and yeah, the deleted WIP was just at the part where after a lot of pain and angst they finally were falling for each other, so it's even more devastating

Damn, that's just sad.

And it reminds me that I should really download all of my bookmarks to pdfs/epubs, cause you never know.
