Right now, I think love is the last thing on Stiles' mind. I think he's focused on protecting Scott, Lydia and his dad. But I think the kiss will shock the hell out of both of them for different reasons.

Love is definitely the last thing on his mind and probably has been for the whole season so far. If we hadn't been spoiled about the kiss we wouldn't be expecting one. I think that is the whole point. Stiles and Lydia have grown closer and it's not because of Stiles' plan for Lydia to fall for him. It's happened organically. We still don't know the context of the kiss...there could be some supernatural element to it. If it's a genuine kiss it will be shocking for both. Don't think Lydia has been contemplating kissing Stiles and probably the last thing Stiles would expect is Lydia kissing him.

The kiss might either bring them closer together or the opposite. It might make things awkward between them. It's definitely going to lead to them evaluating their feelings fro each other. Though with everything going on atm, I don't think we will see the aftermath of the kiss or the show really addressing it before the hiatus.

^ Ditto. As much as I'd love there to be some kind of conversation about the kiss and/or potential feelings, I think it's going to be pushed to the backburner with the multitude of problems going on in Beacon Hills right now. I do hope it might be addressed somewhere in 3b.
