That's okay
 I think so too. What seemed to upset Rusty most was that Dale thought of him as "the anker" too, until he realized Rusty was actually doing well with his project. __________________

I always kind of felt that Dale thought he was better then Rusty throughout the series in some way.

 He did. Rusty was often preoccupied with KT/his girlfriend/etc but that doesn't mean he shouldn't at least try to get that grant. He seemed so hurt when Dale said he never even saw him as competition until he was making progress with his project  __________________
