I kind of see both sides. I thought he'd find another way especially in a season where he was trying to hold to the light. Also I'm religious like Jen so I definitely agree with her beliefs in the sanctity of life. But then his DD's was revealed to be nuking the world and after his wife died and his "ark" was destroyed he disconnected from any humanity he might've had left. He was going to destroy the world no matter what and the fact that he and his daughter live in the world wasn't going to stop him. And like I said earlier they had tried depowering him, putting him on trial, and then in prison. He has followers, he makes followers, and he still got his powers back and LL ended up dead. So I mean maybe the Lian Yu prison could've held him but it would've been a huge risk to take. He was never going to give up on destroying the world and he has followers. So while I get Jen's point too, I do see why Oliver felt he had to kill DD. It's such a murky thing. Heroes really should avoid killing as much as possible and ideally shouldn't have to do it at all but unfortunately there may be some rare cases where it's the only option for keeping the world safe. It just needs to be the very last resort. I guess Oliver won't be living by a no kill vow anymore, hopefully he keeps it as the very last resort though. Also he should've left LL out it. He wasn't killing DD because he killed her. If he was going to kill people for killing people he cares about he would've killed Slade. He was killing DD because like I said dipping the justice the right way failed horribly and DD wasn't going to stop trying to destroy the world.
