I've been going back to season 1 Olicity episodes/ scenes and I realized something- in episode 1x11 Felcity trusts Oliver with the book of names and the information that Moira may have something to do with Walter's disappearance. The next Olicity scene is 1x14 when Oliver gets in her car and shows his trust by reveals his identity to her.

I can't help but notice the contrast too that he trusted Felicity with his identity after only 4 or 5r interactions with her but he never told Laurel. She only found out because of Slade late in S2. I know he probably thought he was protecting her, but how can you really keep that a secret from the love of your life if that is truly what she is to you?

She wasn't. I'm not saying he didn't love her because he obviously didn't but, I think what he felt for her was a first love kinda thing. I don't even think he loved her once he got back from the island. I think whatever he felt for her when he came back was more guilt and what could have been. If he would have really loved her, he would have acted differently. Look at how he is with Felicity, sure he's changed lots from S1 Oliver but still... his love for Laurel never did sit well with me.
