I waffle regarding Ray. I want to like him; he has elements of being a great guy. But then he’s also done some things to seriously irk me. But tonight really highlighted how he and Felicity are just a wee bit too much alike. I loved that Oliver keyed into that.

I was actually just telling a co-worker today about how I feel Ray has no place on Arrow. The show has a much darker tone in which Felicity is often a bit out of place. But she brings an important levity and helps to balance Oliver and the darkness. Ray’s Felicity-like lightness throws the whole equation off. There’s just no room for him.
